Rise for Japan
After the 2011 tsunami that devastated Tohoku, Japan I wanted to help.
I worked on Rise for Japan with Fernando Castro, an architect and designer I met at New Work City.
Fernando wrote dozens of letters to basically every famous designer in the world. No one wrote back. Except Milton Glaser, who agreed to donate a design for the poster.
We printed the poster at The Arm Letterpress in Brooklyn on Japanese paper. The proceeds from sales went to support Architecture for Humanity’s work in the region.
Our work was featured in Dezeen and a few other places.
